Department of Civil Engineering, Khwopa Engineering College successfully conducted the Survey Camp 2081 for the BE Civil 2078 Batch at Shankharapur Municipality, Kathmandu. Held from the 9th to the 21st of Asoj, 2081, the 12-day camp provided a valuable learning experience for 91 participating students. The camp was led by Er. Razim Ganesh, Senior Lecturer and Camp Coordinator, with the support of faculty members, teaching assistants, and lab assistants.
The students were engaged in practical fieldwork, including topographic surveys, road alignment surveys, and bridge site surveys. A key highlight of the camp was the integration of modern surveying techniques such as GNSS and UAV surveys, as per the newly revised syllabus of Purbanchal University.
Several students were recognized for their exceptional performance during the camp:
- Best Male Performer: Bibek Basnet and Shriden Shankhadev Prajapati
- Best Female Performer: Aashika Basnet
- Best Male Coordinating Performer: Salim Suwal
- Best Female Coordinating Performer: Rashmi Bohaju
- Best Group Performers: Dinesh Ghatani, Dipak Karki, Ruchi Dumaru, Yug Paudyal, and Krishna Prasad Dangal
The camp not only provided practical insights into civil engineering surveying but also fostered teamwork, leadership, and hands-on application of theoretical knowledge.
